Whitwell’s first Christmas Tree Festival took place at St Lawrence Church between the 6th and 8th December 2019. Many community groups and individuals from the village contributed by setting up their own trees, there was even a Well Dressing on display. The church looked fantastic and refreshments were served to the many visitors who passed through the church doors over the course of the 3 days.
Concerts were held on the Friday and Saturday evening. Thanks must go to the New Chamber Choir, Whitwell Brass Band and Whitwell Community Choir for entertaining the audiences on those evenings. It was lovely to see the church so full.
A huge thanks must go to all the team who made this event happen. I’ll not name them here for fear of forgetting someone but you know who you are so Thank-you!!
