Following the death of our Queen, Elizabeth II St Lawrence Church Whitwell is open daily from 9am – 4pm for reflection and prayer.  Candles are available should you wish to light one in prayer.

You are welcome to lay flowers with a card expressing condolences if you wish. Please leave flowers in the church porch. Church members will water and display them; later to be photographed and photos placed in the Book of Condolences.

A Book of Condolences will be available in church from Wednesday 14th September. At a later date this will be sent to Buckingham Palace.

The service at St. Lawrence Church on Sunday 11th September is at 9am. This will be a Service of Holy Communion appropriate to the present period of mourning.

A service to commemorate the life of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is being arranged and will be publicised shortly.

There will be a service at All Saints, Steetley on Sunday 11th September at 3.15pm. This will be a said Eucharist.
