Whitwell’s first Christmas Tree Festival took place at St Lawrence Church between the 6th and 8th December 2019. The Flower Festival to commemorate the end of WW1 took place at St Lawrence Church between the 12th and 15th July 2018. On 1st March 2018 we finally became a legally United Benefice; ‘The Benefice of Elmton with Creswell and Whitwell with Steetley’. It has taken over 10 years to get to this point, although we have been working together and linked together by sharing the same Vicar for a few years now.
